Making Thanksgiving Snack Mix

Writing a Thanksgiving Poem

What did I do today?

– Woke up at 3:30 am to brave the holiday airport craziness. Happy to find that it really wasn’t crazy. Landed in Philadelphia a full half hour before the scheduled arrival time.

– Necessary Starbucks run

– Thanksgiving cooking (aka, playing with the cousins instead of helping)

– Thanksgiving snack mix project with little cousin. She was unimpressed by the corresponding “poem”, so she decided to make her own. It sounded vaguely like the “12 Days of Christmas”, but better.

– Realized that cousin has the exact same glasses as brother’s girlfriend. sweet!

– Drilled cousin for ideas as to what to give the 7-year old child that we “adopted” through Church for Christmas. She took the pen & pencil right from my hand and gave me great ideas like “moves (movies), erings (earrings), chpter books (chapter books), brbie dolls (barbie dolls), pnting esl (painting easel)”.

– Debated with Italian Restaurant on the phone for overcharging us for dinner. $18 back in dad’s pocket!

– Mushroom pizza, great “night before Thanksgiving” easy meal

– Debated with Anthropologie on the phone for NOT giving me a credit after returning my dress, but instead CHARGING ME for another dress. Now I have paid for 2 dresses, and have none. I officially hate anthropologie, and their terrible customer service & frumpy clothes. That’s right, FRUMPY.

– Headed to Aunt’s house for girl’s night. Sex and the City II, delicious “pink lady” drinks, and lots of snacks.

Sounds 100x more productive than my day before Thanksgiving (in which no travel, cooking, or cousins were involved, ha!).

    Have a great holiday.

Sorry about the dress. That’s massively annoying!
